Though symptoms listed below may be felt off and on by anyone (healthy and/or anxious individuals), the cue lies in the persistence of these symptoms over an extended period of time.
Commonly experienced symptoms of anxiety include:

  • Apprehension (worry)
  • Restlessness
  • Difficulty in concentrating
  • Blankness (mind as if gone blank)
  • Irritability
  • Difficulty in falling asleep
  • Pounding heart
  • Intense fear / discomfort
  • Vague sense of discomfort
  • Sweating
  • Trembling or shaking
  • Shortness of breath
  • Sense of choking (feeling of lump in throat also known as globus hystericus)
  • Abdominal distress
  • Cold limbs
  • Chest pain
  • Light – headedness
  • Numbness towards surrounding
  • Fear of dying
