CERVICAL SPONDYLOSIS – INVESTIGATIONS
To evaluate and diagnose cervical spondylosis, the doctor may recommend radiological tests like:
- X-ray of cervical (neck) spine may show degenerative changes and osteophytes formation, narrowing of disc space and sometimes narrowing of intervertebral foramen.
- CT scan and MRI may help to confirm the diagnosis.
- Myelogram (imaging done after injecting dye into the spinal column) may identify the site and extent of compression.
