The most suitable time for initiating prevention therapy for bone-related disorders (especially osteoporosis) is early childhood. Proper dietary habits (adequate calcium intake) coupled with regular physical activity should be encouraged in order to reduce the chances of having osteoporosis later in life.

Osteoporosis becomes apparent when the bones’ mineral density becomes so low they are unable to sustain the normal strain of normal activities.
