CERVICAL SPONDYLOSIS – INVESTIGATIONS
How to diagnose Cervical Spondylosis
To evaluate and diagnose cervical spondylosis, the doctor may recommend radiological tests like :
- X-ray of cervical (neck) region or spine, which shows the presence of degenerative changes and osteophyte formation, loss of disc level height and often a narrow spinal canal.
- CT scan and Spine MRI which confirms the diagnosis.
- Myelogram (X-ray or CT scan after injecting dye into the spinal column) to clearly identify the extent of injury.
