CERVICAL SPONDYLOSIS – RISK FACTORS

 

Cervical Spondylosis can develop due to :

 

  • Old neck Injury, which may have occurred several years ago. Neck injury can be caused by :
    • awkward positioning of the body
    • direct trauma to face, neck, head or back
    • bullet or stab wound
    • diving accident
    • electric shock
    • exertion
    • twisting of the trunk

 

  • Aging factor : commonly occurs in older people who have no history of neck injury.
