|Hypertension is defined in an adult as a systolic pressure of 140 mm Hg or higher and/or a diastolic pressure of 90 mm Hg or higher. It is especially dangerous because it often has no warning signs or symptoms.||Hypertension or High Blood Pressure is the condition when the Blood pressure is elevated to such a level that the person is at an increased risk of damage to various organs in the body.||In Ayurveda there is no separate mention of hypertension. It has been mentioned as Raktagatvat in Vat Vyadhi (Disorders due to solely Vat imbalance).|
