The role of diet in management of depression is not clear but has established it’s significance. Some guidelines are as below

  • Restrict the intake of refined sugars.
  • Enhance your daily intake of fruits and vegetables.
  • Take protein–rich foods.
  • Try to avoid alcohol completely.
  • Try to restrict caffeine intake.
  • Take a low-fat diet.
  • Increase the fluid intake.
