DANGER SIGNS
A doctor must be seen in any of the following circumstances :
- Diarrhea lasting for more than 3 days.
- Stools having rice water appearance (loose watery stool).
- Fever of 102° F or more.
- Blood or mucus in stools or black tarry stools.
- Severe pain in abdomen.
- When signs of dehydration are present.
- Frequent vomiting making it impossible to take anything by mouth.
- Irritability or apathy in a child.
- If the patient is a child less than 6 months old.
Diarrhea in a pregnant woman.
