Deficiency
- Dietary deficiency is rare.
- Severe liver dysfunction may impair utilization which may lead to bleeding.
Toxicity
- Toxicity rarely occurs from vitamin K obtained from dietary sources.
- Toxic effects may occur due to synthetic vitamin K (supplements) taken without proper medical advise.
