RABIES VACCINE – SIDE EFFECTS
- Most common side effects include pain, redness, swellingand/or itching at the injection site.
- Sometimes, headaches, nausea, abdominal pain and muscle aches.
- Repeated booster doses has been linked to mild allergic reactions– hives, itching, swelling under the skin. It usually occurs within 14 days of receiving the vaccine.
- Rarely severe allergic reactions.
- No permanent reactions or deaths have been associated with use of cell culture vaccines.
