  • Nature is the best remedy: A walk in the great outdoors will not give soothing and relaxing benefits of breathing fresh air but also helps in burning up extra calories. Gardening is another excuse for having fun while your arms and legs become firm and tone up the muscles.
  • Hiking, great fun: Hiking has many advantages, it burns calories, strengthens the muscles, makes bone more denser and stronger and great exercise for the joints. A great workout with interesting scenery. Hiking also increases the stamina along with lung capacity.

  • Monitor your own condition: After exercising, check how you are feeling, is it refreshing or your joint continues to ache (2 hours after exercise). If aching is still present then you can lighten your schedule next time and if feels better then continues on the same one or increase gradually.
  • Take breaks between work: Frequent breaks from the work will help you relax your mind and body. Do little stretching and walking in the office during breaks, that will keep your muscles and ligaments flexible and strong.
  • Yoga: Yoga strengthens the mind and body connection. While your mind gets relaxed, your muscles and joints gets stronger.
  • Get a pet: Pet is the best buddy and a physical trainer. Taking your pet out for a walk is a good excuse to keep those joints moving. Just remember to have a sturdy leash with an easy grip.
  • Look for an exercise physiologist or physiotherapist: Exercise physiologist or physiotherapist will teach you the right exercises for your condition and how you should do it to prevent injuries and undue joint stress. They are the best ones to consult, but you must keep your orthopedician informed about it.
  • Make friends: To keep exercise program on track, working out or exercising with friends is the easiest and best way. After work, you can go for a walk with your friends; it will be good chatting session with work out.
  • Warm bath: Warm bath after a work out will help you to soothe and relax those aching muscles and joints. Good work out and relaxing warm bath is a great combination.
