- Increased dietary iodine intake.
- Certain drugs like amiodarone may induce thyroid autoantibodies.
- May be associated with other auto immune disorders like pernicious anemia, diabetes mellitus, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic active hepatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, Sjorgen’s syndrome.
